Its the Season to be Spooky, Fa La La La Argh!

If you’re thinking that I’m not really the Halloween type, then you would be right. The origins of Halloween lie in the creepy pre-Christianity past of Britain, though its also celebrated as All-Hallows Eve. But then I’m a Muslim, so it doesn’t make a difference to me one way or another (…I’m gonna find ya, I’m gonna getcha, getcha … sorry, couldn’t resist). Regardless, having grown up with Halloween as an annual event and having small children who are currently obsessed with the idea of pumpkins, witch costumes and vampire fangs (they look like cute little monsters with their fangs on), I do get a wave of nostalgia walking down the Halloween seasonal aisle at the supermarket. My Halloween aspiration were about the same as my kids, plastic vials of fake blood and glow-in-the-dark fangs. A toffee apple was just a bonus. In my early tweens, it was about staying up late and watching reruns of Halloween and Friday 13th. In fact the first time I watched the Halloween movie was in a caravan, doing night-duty at boarding school on Halloween night, watching it on a contraband pocket TV with a few of my mates crowded around. Nowadays, its not the vampires and zombies I worry about. Its the wannabe burglar or the odd teen yob pushing a firework through my letterbox that concerns me.
Anyway, I know many of you will be looking forward to Halloween parties and maybe even some illicit trick or treating. Either way, you’ve got mid-term holidays and nothing to do but rot your brains watching day-time TV or frying your eyes playing video games. So I’m doing you a huge favor. For one week only, starting from today, I’m offering The Changeling King at a 60% discount, for literally a dollar! All you have to do is go to Smashwords (you may have to sign up if you’re aren’t already a member, but membership is free), add The Changeling King to your cart and enter the following code at checkout: XD42F.
I have around 200 readers now through Smashwords and over 570 fans (and growing) on my Facebook page. Thank you to everyone for their support. But as great as this is, I still need your help. Please ask your friends to click the Like button on my Facebook page and also, if you have already read the book, I would love to read your reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes and Noble or from wherever you purchased the book.
