Ramadan 2025

Wow. It feels like its only been a short while since I wrote my last Ramadan post. So many people who were with us last year at this time have passed from the world. As a Muslim, I am grateful for every Ramadan that I am alive to experience. Each one is another month to improve myself spiritually and improve my outcomes for the Hereafter.

Ramadan has a habit of making me reflective. I am truly grateful to the All-Mighty for the year He has given me. I have achieved some of my worldly and spiritual goals, but I have so much more work to do. I have set myself some new spiritual goals for this Ramadan, including reciting the whole Qur’an at least 4 times, starting my research for the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and performing as many optional prayers as I can. I also have other jobs to do too. I successfully defended my thesis last month and now have a list of adjustments I need to make before it is finally completed.

As usual, I think I have bitten off more than I chew. I’m still committed to writing my Arabian Nights trilogy this year. I have to time-manage myself. This ensures I am giving my parents and my family time. I also need to look after my own health. I’ve also joined Substack and am thinking of how I can best utilise the platform without just posting the same content everywhere. If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them. As always, comment, share, like.
