“World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.” (http://www.worldbookday.com/about/)
This is really my first World Book Day, as an author with something to actually share. World Book Day is promoting an important message; we should encourage literacy it by giving those less fortunate an opportunity to obtain what is now considered a luxury item; a book. If civilizations are built on the development of languages, then books are the guardians of civilization.
So, in order to support this initiative, I’m making the 2nd Edition of The Changeling King on Kindle, free to download for the whole of 1st March, i.e. World Book Day. The book will be going live just after midnight tonight Pacific Mean Time, which means in Europe it will be available for free from around 3am on 1st March. So if you know someone who is into fantasy fiction, or just loves a good book, then send them in the right direction. Links for the book on the .co.uk and .com stores follow:
