Sinbad Update

Its November. And November means NewNoWritMo, or New Novel Writing Month, or New November Writing Month, or some variation of that.

This November I’ve started up with Sinbad again, which I left alone in January of this at the end of the first voyage. I realised at that point that I could not do justice to all three books in the time I had left, so I instead focused on Alauddin and Ali Baba. As such, I was able to release the first volume of the Arabian Dreams series at Fantasycon 2026, in Glasgow.

The last month has been spent in promoting and selling Arabian Dreams (the hardback omnibus edition that contains Alauddin and Ali Baba). Bookvault produced a really nicely put together hardback with gold, raised foiling for the title, but their distribution leaves a lot to be desired. As such, I am going to have to pivot for the paperback version to Amazon (though I despise its billionaire owner, and billionaires in general). I may also do an ebook version of Arabian Dreams too, even though Alauddin and Ali Baba are both currently available as ebooks. However, it has been difficult to create a buzz for three separate titles.

So far, I’ve written 4000 words during November, though they are flowing very slowly. The words and not wording. The muse is not musing. It feels like I’m dragging them out from somewhere they don’t want to leave.
