The last couple of days have been the hardest so far on the Kickstarter campaign. The first couple of days pledges were coming in throughout. Then come Saturday night the taps closed. Not a single pledge came in for two whole days.
You may think I’m overreacting, but I keep on Kickstarters and the ones that don’t hit their target fast tend to wallow. So, I begin thinking that maybe I’ve done something wrong. Maybe my social media marketing plan is flawed. Maybe I should posting more regularly, or maybe I’m posting too often. Then I figured that maybe people are waiting for payday before they pledge (though your money isn’t collected until the campaign ends).
After obsessing about it for nearly 36 hours, this is what I decided. Give it a week to see if your current strategy works out. If not, change up where to put the marketing money. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. Its part of God’s plan. I just have to accept come what may and move on. The book is going to be published one way or another.
I came back from prayers and turned my laptop on. The Kickstarter page was open, so I refreshed it. Another pledge had come in. Trust in the fact that whatever is written will come to be, all I have to do is walk my path.
